Art Explorations with Ross Rec
Open to 2nd – 6th graders
Join us for an exciting after-school art class designed specifically for 2nd through 6th graders! This is a fantastic opportunity for young artists to engage in a variety of creative experiences while receiving personalized attention in a small group setting.
What to Expect:
- Art Mediums: Explore a wide range of art forms, including ceramics, painting, and drawing.
- Hands-On Projects: Create unique ceramic vessels, tie- dye T-shirts, vibrant paintings, and detailed observational drawings.
- Color Theory: Learn about colors and textures, and how they can enhance your artwork and evoke emotions.
- Nature Inspiration: Take walks through the beautiful Marin Art and Gardens Center to gather inspiration from the natural world around you.
Teaching Philosophy: As an art teacher, my goal is to nurture creativity, develop skills, and foster a love for art. I believe that art can inspire, heal, and bring joy, and I am excited to share my knowledge and passion with each student. I am a credentialed art teacher with extensive experience, having dedicated many years to teaching in Marin.
Wednesdays, 1:50pm–3:30pm, January 15 to March 12; no class February 19.
This program is made possible in part by a collaboration with the Ross Recreation Department.
Unless otherwise noted, online registration closes two days before the event date.
Cost
- $195.00
A transaction fee will be added to your total, to offset registration costs to us as a non-profit.
