Even as we appreciate the more subtle pleasures of winter here at MAGC, we are looking forward to a spring spectacle in the coming months. Thanks to extremely generous donations from Vivien Bronshvag and an anonymous friend of MAGC, we were able to purchase over two thousand bulbs, which we planted in December all around the grounds. Hours of digging by our grounds staff (and even an hour or two from those of us in the office not usually pressed into garden work) will bring a payoff as the days get longer and warmer, and hopefully for years to come. When you visit in February and March, keep an eye out for narcissus, muscari (sometimes called grape hyacinth), crocus and iris along the paths and in the planted beds; it will certainly feel like spring with all these blooms here to welcome it.
