Earlier this fall, we were delighted to welcome Meghan Ray to Marin Art and Garden Center’s Horticultural Advisory Committee. She is currently the Garden Manager at Blake Garden in the East Bay.
Meghan‘s urban childhood in New York City inspired her passion for horticulture. She has spent her career in public gardens, first at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden followed by the UC Berkeley Botanical Garden and now at UC Blake Garden in Kensington, CA.

Meghan attended the New York Botanical Garden School for Professional Horticulture and has a Master’s degree in Garden History and Landscape Studies from the Bard Graduate Center and a certificate in Landscape Architecture from the UC Berkeley extension. She has contributed to Garden Design and Fine Gardening magazines and several volumes in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Handbook series. In her spare time, she enjoys writing fiction and practicing yoga.
