Artist, house painter, builder, developer, artist….the journey that Francis Collins has taken brought him from the steel mills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to a successful career as a developer in the Bay Area and, finally, to creating a life as a noteworthy artist.  Francis has invented himself more than once with a consistent passion for and interest in creativity.  Art has always been a priority and, with his playful wood sculptures, we see how his visions merge into colorful grids and waves that blend balance and symmetry into order and chaos.

This exhibition presented more than 30 of his recent sculptures, in a variety of shapes and sizes, in The Studio at the Marin Art and Garden Center from July 28 to September 16, 2018.
