In February, the Garden School hosted an art show!
The children of the Garden School spent a couple months creating and curating work for a fabulous exhibition in our gallery space, The Studio. All the art displayed was 100% done by the children. Art was created by following the children’s interests in various art media and topics.
In this video, Emma Norris, Director of the Garden School, gives a tour of the show and explains how each of the elements relates to the learning experience.
The Garden School is located on the Marin Art and Garden Center campus. The school serves children ages 2-5. Children spend their days in an emergent classroom where their interests lead their learning. The children also spend time every day out in the garden on walks or helping Gardener Michael with a garden project. School is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am–1 pm.
