You know how it is when you know you have company coming over and you put off things to do until the day is upon you?
Well, that happened to the gardeners at the Center earlier this month. It’s like my house was a mess and I had to clean up quickly before the Filoli gardeners arrived. Oh my!
All the last-second mulching, composting, weeding, and pruning sure did spruce up the place. As it turns out, the awesome Filoli gardeners would have been just as kind if we hadn’t scurried about cleaning the house. That’s a true friend that doesn’t give a whit about the condition of your garden because they just came to visit and say hi.
Our team paid Filoli a visit a few years ago.
However, the thought crosses my mind that it’s good to clean up before company drops in, and that maybe Filoli should come by more often.
