Summer Flowers with Mill Valley Flowers
Join Us for a Summer of Flowers – Seasonal Design Workshop
Step into the timeless charm of our historic Marin Art and Garden Center and spend a summer evening surrounded by creativity and community. Our Summer Floral Design Workshops are a special opportunity to learn from the award-winning team of Mill Valley Flowers, whose artistry has been featured in weddings, events, and homes throughout the Bay Area for decades.
Whether you’re new to floral design or looking to refresh your skills, these hands-on sessions will guide you through creating your own stunning arrangements—perfect for summer dining tables, thoughtful gifts, or simply to bring added décor into your home.
We’ll explore the season’s freshest flowers, color palettes, and natural design techniques, all in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Come solo, bring a friend, or gift the experience to a loved one—everyone leaves with a beautiful arrangement and a touch of floral magic.
Space is limited and these evenings tend to fill quickly, so we recommend reserving your spot early.
All flowers and tools are provided. We recommend casual clothes and comfortable shoes.
We can’t wait to share the joy of summer flowers with you!

Lillian Klein
Lillian was born and raised in Mill Valley and is an award-winning floral designer who began her journey in New York, where she received formal training not only in design but also in the botanical knowledge essential to mastering floral artistry. Her expertise encompasses understanding the plants she works with, knowing how to care for them after they’re cut, and maximizing their beauty in every arrangement. She trained at Brooklyn’s renowned Zuzu’s, a prestigious flower shop founded in 1971 by Fonda Sara. Zuzu’s, a female-owned and operated business, was recently honored by the State of New York and added to the NY State Historical Business Preservation Registry. While at Zuzu’s, Lillian designed both for individual clients and large-scale weddings across the tri-state area. Currently, she serves as both buyer and lead designer at Mill Valley Flowers, another award-winning, female-owned flower shop. Lillian continues to create stunning designs, blending her deep botanical knowledge with a keen eye for beauty, ensuring every arrangement is a masterpiece.
